You must be insane if you buy this!

I'm sure there are many people who struggle to make ends meet, but still have and outside interest in computers and when they see the hundreds, sometimes thousands being spent on systems around forums like the one here, are stunned to say the least and can only dream of spending cash like that on anything, let alone a computer.

If anyone thinks they can afford to own one of these I say good luck to them, it's long been my dream to have a keyboard with pr0no pics for each key, and if anyone can advance the cause of that fantasy, I salute them. :o

This is a truly ground-breaking piece of kit. Yes, it's expensive, but the price will drop and we'll all one eventually. The price seems very high though considering it lists at $1600, even allowing for import duty, the profit seems excessive considering they're only ordering it on demand.

Choose where and who send it carefully and stop living in a bubble?

So which independent African nation would you send money to? Congo? Rhwanda? Ivory Coast? Nigeria? Malawi? Somalia maybe? All the places that actually need the money are run by corrupt governments that could help their own people out if they stopped spending their national wealth in oil, diamonds, platinum etc. on keeping themselves in power through a strong miliary and buying the latest Maybach.

There's nothing wrong with harbouring charitable feelings, just remember there are people starving on the streets in the UK as well.

True, but you just don't get that same warm and fuzziness from them, remember, charity is about the receiving, not the giving.

OcUK has anyone pre ordered it?

i see a buy to order thingy hehehe, didnt want them sitting in the warehouse not being used?

i wonder how much it will be for a Bgrade? :D

talk about credit crunch

Some one with a lot of money will buy one no doubt. I'm sure in years to come the technology will be more common and parts will then be mass produced brining the price down. Give it 5 years and you'll me able to pick up a similar product for <£50 imo.
