"Free shipping to all of the UK including north and south Ireland"...haha
.

"In most cases, from 1.1.2010 the standard VAT in Ireland is 21%."
Has the prices of everything not rose to an extra 2.5% then removed for discount. Making it no cheaper and in some cases more expensive![]()

Many thanks OCUK for including southern Ireland in the deal
Perhaps more time could have been spent on the wording but given most of our offers have excluded anyone outside of England, Wales and the central belt I didn't want people to switch off before they read that bit.
Also I'm not sure most people know what the British isles is![]()
VAT is charged at the normal rate, however we basically refund 2.5% on the whole order so essentially you are paying 17.5% in the UK. However, we will invoice the prices with the correct VAT details, and also the VAT number is on the bottom of the invoice too.
You basically have VAT reduced on your order as we discounted the products to cover the extra percentage.
I hope that makes any sense.![]()
Yeah it does makes sense but that's exactly my point. VAT is not 17.5% so the ad is misleading. Anyway I don't want to seem like I'm complaining about it, I don't really care either way, just thought it was strange.
