Sounds more like a CAT C to me.

Miniyazz take note, they will realise this mistake soon enough and send you a request for the rest of the monies owed.

maybe op cut him up / nearly knocked him off and he was having a bad day.. no biker is just gonna damage a car for the hell of it.

i've done the same once to a rolls royce, but only as a last result for revenge after I was physically assaulted at petrol station (he tried to strangle me lol) ...that wing mirror prolly was £800, made me feel a lot better.

Well like I say, I was doing some low-speed manoeuvering in my lane when no one was really going anywhere very fast, seeing how light the steering was at low speeds, and then we set off properly again and this happened :( So unless he really didn't like Corsas, or for some reason really didn't like me moving around,

In his first post he states it like he's paid it, then he states his insurance paid the cost, so which is it?

If you want to tell us a story least get it right in your own head first.

Also, why didn't the dealer claim on its insurance, max excess from your point of view of £500 iirc and no loss of claims on your insurance.

TBH.

Well they told me it should go through my insurance and I was so mad I wasn't thinking straight and just went along with it

you cant do that in heavy traffic, you prolly almost killed the guy, it would have appeared to him that you were trying to block / knock him off.

you deserved it :)

If this thread is serious go through the garages insurance and pay the excess, how old are you?

Also more to the point how does your car insurance cover you to drive someone elses car?

well hopefully I can get my insurance to refuse the claim or something?

Edit: Argh they just emailed me and turns out there was a note attached to the car key fob I didn't read and it said I'm liable for any damages to the car??:eek:
guess that's why they wanted my insurance :(

Well surely he could've asked questions first, punched later??

20 yo but I have DOC with DirectLine (named driver), anyway shouldn't the forecourt cars have trade insurance or something so I can drive them anyway?

It was me, on lunch. Just nipped into town to get a Subway, couldn't resist the urge to punch a god awful car. I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not.
