Your best picture of 2016

This one I took back in January when the UK was being battered by Storm a Frank.

Winter Storm:

Wow!!.. Shot of the thread for me

I've really enjoyed the basic and unpredictable nature of my Polaroid camera with Impossible film this past year. It makes a fun change from digital and I love the results.

A nine shot sequence along a Dartmoor river.

On holiday early December and I was snapping away at my son in the sea. I looked through them later on and saw this. Totally unintentional but for some reason it looked really good, as though purposely taken out of focus.

For me this is the best photo I took this year:p

Probably this shot that I took when i was in an open door helicopter trip in New York last month.

I still haven't looked through all my photos let alone process them all. I do have some good abstract shots from the Guggenheim Museum that I like but the one above tops it cos it was something different other than the typical street shots in New York.

That's really very good. Was expecting it to be taken with some hardcore kit, even more impressive to see it's from the GX7 and the 14-140. I've got both and have never produced anything that good.

This is mine, star gazing at Glacier Point in Yosemite in May. Stunning, humbling experience. I'd never done any real photography of the night sky so technically not great but it still blows my mind.

I'll be in Yosemite next April with my DSLR.. any tips for me OLV??

Too many to pick from I guess, but I do like this one as it took a bit of fooling around with the torch behind the car to get the lighting right, and then more to get the exposure right.

The road to glacier point will be closed, as will the pass. At that time of year there is a lot of wildlife sheltering in the valley, I've seen coyotes and fox in winter. Waterfall s are mostly dry but sometimes main falls has a little spray coming down. Good photos from tunnel view. The Sequoia groves are worth visiting then.
