Your biggest ever let down game... EVER!

1. Warhammer online - just an epic fail
2. Spore
3. Oblivion - Doesn't really have anything in it without mods to keep it going.

4. Empire total war - Dumbed it down and then added too many features which just ended up over complicating things that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

5. All cod's after cod 2. When are people going to relise it's a dumb shooter that is made so that a 3 year old can play it just as well as you can. Geeze, a competitive game which requires no skill. How fun.
 
W00t I loved warhammer online while I was playing, the most fun I got out of a mass pvp.

Biggest disappointment was black and white 2.

Also Total War Empire.

and finally Alien vs Predator, I thought they were going to make the original just in high rez but no, controls were messy and it was boring.
 
Empire Total War BIG time. They ruined the franchise :(

Shogun 2 looks to be on the roght track though!
 
1. Daikatana - so much hype for this game being the next best thing and when it finally came out it was just utter garbage.

2. Deus Ex 2: IW - After the first game most of us Deus Ex fans expected something similar but with new additions however instead we got a stripped down console version that wasn't anywhere near the brilliance of the first game.

3. Crysis - I had big expectations for this game after everyone kept saying how brilliant it was. Tried it, got bored, had terrible performance, didn't bother playing again.

4. Counter-Strike: Condition Zero - Supposed to be the best thing for CS players or so we were lead to believe. When it finally came out after being basically remade by Turtle Rock Studios, it really showed. You could really see how unfinished and crap it really was.

5. Half-Life: Blue Shift - Expected it be like Opposing Force but instead it felt like a mod made by the community, and the game was basically over in 1-2hrs.
 
Team Fortress 2....

Seriously what is the big deal about this utterly moronic, run around like a headless chicken for 3 minutes shooter all about?...

I was expecting so much more from it, when i finally got around to buying the Orange Box, i fired this up, and havent really returned to it at all....terminal boredom sets in after about 2 rounds...
 
Half life 2. Although to be fair, it was following its dictionary definition by being 50% less good than its forerunner.

Op flash Dragon Rising, an exceptionally poor game that the developers should be ashamed of themselves for releasing.

Spore and Warhammer online, without a doubt. I actually couldn't get over how bad spore was when i played it. Walking Penis animals ffs!
 
Metal Gear Solid 2

The game delivered nothing like how it was shown in the awesome E3 2000 trailer. I mean what was all that about going around the plant chapter (disappointing) and freezing those sensors. Sure the graphics were awesome but I was expecting something big and extroadinary and instead got a short game with Raiden.
 
UT3 - Great engine, terrible art direction and FPS shooters have moved on.

Such a shame since I've played the Unreal series since day one.
