Your current Fish tank Setups!

In my experience second hand fish tanks are notoriously hard to sell, I've been trying to shift a Roma 200 for dirt cheap for months.

Hope something works out for you, I'm surprised a charity shop will take it?

They may not yet! just my mums idea. it will probably end up in the garage and will slowly get forgotten about!

shame really its a lovely looking tank, but no room and no time

just finished modding my little desktop tank, got sick and tired of the little built in filter that the Fluval Spec comes with so added a Eheim Classic 250 slightly more flow than my little 10ltr tank needs [440 lph lol] but my shrimp love it!

just a shame I haven't got a better camera!

Getting rid of my fishbox moon and looking at getting a Fluval roma 90 which is quite an upgrade from my 19l tank to 90.

Fed up of looking locally to grimsby for second hand :(

@ Nuttyprot : what's the name of the plant in the foreground on the left that gives a carpet like effect? I'd like to indulge in something like that, though I was under the impression that CO2 is strongly advised? Looks really nice. :)

That discus should be in a bigger tank bud and with others or at least another, they are social animals and prefer to be in groups unless paring.

Ph 6.0. Tds of 150ppm. Lots of Time and effort gone in to my tank. Only started off with a 30ltr biorb lol now I've built my own tank

Where would one need to start if they were thinking about building their own tank? I currently have a 210 litre, though eventually I would like to graduate to something quite a bit larger than that.

I basically just designed the tank around a sturdy cabinet i already had. 1000x560x700

12mm Optiwhite one the 3 sides. 12mm Normal float on the base and rear. Rear is painted black. Sat on 10mm Celotex. Stuck together with Everbuild Aquamate Clear. I do have ali trim to go around the edges but never got round to it.

See pic below for proportions and size ref.

Thanks, looks great. When you consider how large discus are / can get, and then see how small your two look in that tank, you realize how bloody big it is! :D

They are around 9 months old 8"
There is a selection of other juvi discus in there too. All starting to show colours now rather than just pale orange.
100ltr weekly water change with pure RO.
