Lights came today, oh yes top end lights, pics up later, very nice upgrade from the G3 pro.

How are they compared to the previous gen?
Night and day coming from the G3, the spread is amazing, colour is very vibrant, a lot quieter, also using mobius app is far better than the old reeflink.
Lol i was thinking good job we don't have that guy phycho sonny in here he would be banging on about cheap Chinese ones that cost £20 are just as good as these premium models lol.

What made you go for the blue @Spook187
I use the AB+ template and the blues spectrum are made for it, i preferred this colour anyway over whites, although the unit does have whites just less than the pros.

They do look good, especially the new led layout. I'm happy with the latest Ai's though.

I've now been given the green light from the Mrs to go large
Custom made 1000 litres is on the cards, won't be until next year as I have other house projects to complete before I blow thousands on a new setup.
Will take a lot of gen 5's to light that badboy.

3 I will need you get a 24" spread per light on these new ones, so have two already, going down the acrilic sump design I think they look pretty cool and can pick my own colour, will be great having a decent size refugium.

The US has some great acrylic sumps. Before I settled on the DD reef pro, I was looking at doing a custom tank with acrylic sump. Must have emailed about 4 companies, and none of them had a UK outlet.

I think if I was going that big I'd just make an indoor pond
I used to keep red bellied piranhas and the dream was an indoor pond for them. Like some kind of Bond villain.
