Your current Fish tank Setups!

Sure.

Can you trust it to me ?

Any idea how long it would last ? Powering a Pump and Air Pump ?

need to work out your power draw etc.

also if your pumps are 230v unfortunately you wont get the automatic switch over like you can with ecotech pumps (12v dc)

will put the parts list here incase others would also want it.

Battery (you dont have to have one this size, mine is to run 2 x 12v mp10s and 1x 36v m1) whatever battery you chose make sure its sealed lead acid, you dont want an unsealed battery in your house.

How much was that ? Where did you get it from ?
I could possibly do with one for my Freshwater setup.

Do you have a link for me ?

Thanks
To be fair freshwater tanks are pretty good coping with a power outage, when we had the major floods in cumbria in 2005 I didn't have any electricity for 3 days and my tank was fine, lucky I didn't have marines then as I would have lost the full reef in times like that.

Ahh you say that, but my tank is over 1000litres and houses Stingrays and Arowana.

Its not planted and uses air to keep the media moving in the sump.

A little while back an airline broke overnight and i lost about 1k worth of fish.

Here they are.

Tank is 7x3x2ft so about 1000litres and it has a 500litre sump too.

Big Blackdiamond Stingray is female she's about 12" around
The two smaller with white spots are male and the other is female. As they grow their patterns will change and they will darken up they are all about 5" across

silver fish is my Highback Arowana he's about 14" roughly and my Flagtail fish as well.

As i said the tank is a work in progress, i have some proper lights i need to fit and a hood would be ideal too.

Stopped watching when he built that fish house as thought he lost his way then.

As you say tho, cant blame him now he gets big
Money!
Yeah,

i watch his vids every now and then, but there isn’t really anything educational anymore. Its all stuff he's been given to use. He has some nice fish though.
Nice, can’t blame you for wanting a big battery back up on that.
Thanks, I only need to keep the return pump going and the Air Pump.

Needs some plants :D
To be fair i would love some plants, but they won't stay in for long. The rays move the sand around looking for food all the time so they'll just end up floating around making a mess.

I could try to attach some to some bog wood, but the rays need the floor space, i may try it though see how things pan out.

Just put them in a ceramic pot filled with aquatic soil then topped with gravel. That's what I do in my pond to stop the fish digging them up :)

Most things won't grow in sand anyway.

Anyone got experience with clams in a reef tank. I found one in my tank, must have been a hitchhiker when I got a some coral. He’s very small but I reckon he’s been in there for around 3 months.
