Your favourite games of all time

My most played game is BF3, on steam the top games are MW2 MP, Black ops 2 MP, Skyrim, Witcher 3 and GTA V.

And yet my favourite game of all time is a Gameboy advance game called Golden Sun.
 
Don't really subscribe to the hypothesis that most hours = best, but here's mine:

Only really been playing on Steam for about 3/4 years.

Scribblenauts is my son, and Trine (both) was 2-player with him, so discount all those (I'm not keen on any of them).

The rest isn't too bad, FTL and Volgarr are definite top-5, but excludes FEAR and LIMBO. And Just Cause 2 is absolutely not one of my favourites - I just like crashing planes.

Some of the numbers confuse me in my list though. I have to have played Metro: Last Light as I've completed it?
 
Good memories of Team Fortress Classic and CS 1.5/1.6.

Must say though Battlefield 1 is blowing me away so far and would probably my favourite so far...will no way build up the same hours as the ones above though!!
 
Eve online, a game I last played 9/3/08, that's 8 years ago is 4th on my most played on Steam at 255 hours.

It's far from being among my favourite games.

I've just picked it up again after not playing it for a few months. I'm on mission 8 and the thing that has put me off the game a bit is the distance between save points. Sometimes I may have been playing for 20 minutes or more trying to dodge the Alien only to be killed and have to back and try all over again. That has been too daunting at times so I've had large gaps in between playing it. If there was a quick save option then it would have been completed long ago albeit I admit that may have taken something away from the game if it was available.

I agree it is an awesome game though. A real experience.
 
Without a doubt the Borderlands series, closely followed by Skyrim.
The Borderlands are the only games I've completed more than once, and I've enjoyed every single minute of doing that.
 
Most of my favorite games of all time came out a long time before steam did :)

Based on time played it would easily be WoW by a very long way, but 95% of that was probably very boring grinding, based on fun i would say probably the original Counterstrike but most of that was before steam also, so my most hours played on a steam game would be GTA IV. Silly way of doing it really cause i think GTA V is a much better game.
 
If we ignore steam, then its World of Warcraft, with about 11,000 hours played.

Otherwise its TF2, Skyrim , Elite:Dangerous
 
I have played games from the Atari console and zx81 onwards but the following will always be my favourite of all time.

RTCW:ET and battlefield 1942/desert combat.
 
Most played on Steam is Age Of Empires 3 at around 600 hours iirc. Not my favourite game by a long shot.

Witcher 3 is probably my favourite game the last few years. Started HOS a few days ago and it's just in another class.

Also really enjoyed The Last Of Us but that's obviously not on PC.
 
Clearly a souls fan, also put in about 50 hours in to each on ps3 too

but i hate skyrim, most of this is messing with mods and attempting to replay the game to see why its so rated
