I'm not that fond of a simplistic division into masculine and feminine anyway. So I am who I am and let other people stick labels on bits of it if they like. I've been mistaken for a woman often enough, so I guess I must be considered quite a bit more feminine than average for a man.
It changes from time to time and place to place anyway, so it can't be real. For example, it wasn't that long ago in England that make-up and elaborate clothing with frills and suchlike was considered masculine. Another example - in ancient Rome, it was very manly to wear either skirts or short dresses(*) in order to keep most of your legs bare.
* The tunica was the most common form of clothing in ancient Rome and was effectively a simple dress. Imagine a cross between a T-shirt and a dress, without sleeves and you're on the right lines. Men wore them above the knee, women wore ankle-length ones.
