Your first connection and memories of the internet.

Weirdly enough, I was thinking just last night about how fondly I remember the old internet. Probably because it was so new and interesting. I even cultivated my forum troll persona on the Linkin Park forums way back when and was banned countless times for winding up emo types.

Fond memories. But then I think about how I can download at 120mbps now instead of using dial up and realise that progress is a magnificent thing.
 
Did anyone here have the first BT broadband modem?

I remember it looked like a space alien or something.

This is it. Anyone have one? I grew quite attached to it.

I done a HTML course at the local University of Ulster whilst still at secondary school. Needless to say I was better educated about Pamela Anderson that week than HTML :D
 
I remember looking at porn and the lines used to scan down as you downloaded! :rolleyes:

I was fapping away waiting for scan line 200 for boobs and 325 for ****** !
Had it memorised you see.
