Your First Ever Game....

We had a pong console but my first real game would be on the C64, I forget the name but it was some type of F1 game. Noteable C64 games would be Paradriod, Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Spys Like US and loads of others.

treasure island on the commodore plus 4

that ghost was scary, total panic in forgetting what way i had to run lol

1.Battle Chess
2. Snake
3. Prince of persia (side scrolly one)

Then probably Total Annihilation

Those were the best days <3

Been playing games for as long as I can remember, literally. So I'm not really sure. Mom was a translator so we always had a PC at home, which I played on before I ever got a console of any type.

Probably was something like Jeopardy or one of the early King's Quests.

There were a load of very basic games on a pre-Atari console I remember playing - pong, basic car/bike controlling games, etc.

Then the games that came with the Atari 2600 - tanks is the one I remember spending longest on.

Then came the Spectrum some years later. First game was probably Horace Goes Skiing.

First game on a proper PC platform was Ecstatica in the early 90s after I'd lost interest in gaming for many years. It kind of rekindled my old gaming interest but it wasn't until I got a PC of my own for college work and the guy I bought it from had left a copy of Half-Life on there (with a no-cd crack I assume now, though I had no idea about that at the time). That got me hooked back in. How much time and money since have been lost because that git left HL on the PC he sold me. I should thank him with a punch up the bracket!

Combat on Atari 2600 (Jan 1981) swiftly followed by Space Invaders (my Dad just kept on buying them for about 2 year's solid so we were VERY lucky and VERY popular with everyone) . My cousin got a ZX81 and I recall Daley Thompsons Decathlon on Xmas Day along with many hours of Warlords on the Atari 2600. Good times. My PC game it Tie Fighter on floppy disc or Magic Carpet maybe

Great thread :)

I can't quite remember as there were quite a few games from that era that I can remember playing but one in particular stands out in my memory..

Treasure Island Dizzy on the venerable Spectrum!

AOE2.

I had a friend who had AOE1 which I loved, saved up for my own pc as a kid and got AOE2 before even getting the PC. Read the manual for a month like an obsessive.

I can't remember what the first game I played at home was but I do know it was on a Spectrum 128k +2. I'm pretty sure it was an RPG as well.

First game I played on a pc was either Ancients 1 or Bio Menace. Both were cover discs for either PC Zone or PC Gamer.
