It's a very cringey experience, I was young and particularly annoying. I suppose at least I had an excuse back then :cry:
 
Got wiped by the nuke but I'm pretty sure a lot of my first posts were about football in Sports Arena (before football became a subforum). IIRC one of the first threads I started was called ' "I was at the match" snobbery ', essentially debating the view held by some fans that attending matches means you are better placed to provide opinion on the match than someone watching on TV.

That was 2003, so definitely not my first post. The forums were nuked (all posting history lost) in March 2001 and October 2002.

Additionally, a lot of posts between 2002 and 2006 were wiped, basically anything not in Archive forums I think.

It was the post that was the furthest it would go back. I can't get your posts before the nuke... or can I? ;)

We're going off topic here but the fact people call some the players shockers in a way reinforces the angle I'm coming from - people think they are ****, which means if I think they are mediocre, then they are underrated in my eyes, because **** < mediocre.

Part of the problem is that bl00 pre-registered me after the most recent nuke and I had a nice low user number, I think it was 18. However, after a while, my account broke and he couldn't work out the reason and I had to have a new one so there won't be any posts from me from the first couple of months post-nuke. You can see from my joining day that I've been on this iteration of OcUK since the nuke. In the end, it was my email that was the problem, for some reason, when the forum tried to email me, it wasn't able to and it effectively locked any thread I subscribed to. We only found that out after my initial account had been deleted and the new one created.
 
The first one looks cooked & the second one looks rare.....I'll have to pass this on to our resident expert/Archiver the most honourable Bouton Aide ;)
