Your Gaming Surface?

Got a Roccat Sense.... its fairly big - which helps more for resting your arm than any gaming benefit....

And I can't say my gaming is any better for it...

The funky electric blue however.... just looks more tarty with the other blue glow stuff....

Merlin5, you're entitled to your opinion however skewed it might be but on hardware I only really post about it if I have experience with it and it's that which I'll always post and stand by instead of websites testimonies on-line.

My point still stands though from my previous post whether you relate it to having a clue or not, it's a valid point and pretty on the ball.

But that's the thing robbie, you don't have any experience of the puretrak, so you can't comment. To come into this thread with "ah, the logo sucks, the boogie is so much better!" is such a load of superficial crap I had to make my points. You're a nice guy and I don't wish to fall out with you, but I really think you should do more research before essentially claiming that a mousepad is a mousepad is a mousepad. Here's some quotes from other OcUK members.

Xai is an awesome mouse. Not a fan of their pads though. Puretrak talent is by far the best cloth mat on the market right now (worth the import)

Puretrak Talent .. no contest, best mousepad ever made

Puretrak Talent if you look you will find it.

OcUK still do not stock it even though it smashes all of the competition

I have a boogie bug and that sits underneath my Puretrak......

It's my online game name from 1999 when I was 15 and listening to lots of the Wu :D

EDIT: Although I would also recommend a Puretrak Talent. I've recommended it to OcUK but they do not stock them - AMAZING and better than the boogie bug and I have both.

Merlin5, I didn't come in and blatantly diss the logo. I replied to a specific point you made, in fact most of the points you made. There is no jumping in here or is your memory really that short?

You said it had a minimalist logo, I pointed out it did not have anything close to that statement. It's great that you purchased it, it does look like a good product but defending a purchase just because it's machine washable and stain proof isn't really a point worth debating over? I could also demonstrate water running off a BoogieBug when poured over it but what's the point, it's not a priority!

You seem seem to have missed my point on 2 occasions now.

Currently I'm using the free mousemat I got with my Rift Collectors Edition. Still waiting for my Boogie Bug mat. Hopefully I will have it by November... Skyrim /drool

No, you've missed my points. You simply dismissed the puretrak saying it's got an ugly logo, is in the wrong place and the boogiebug is the best. Then you went on to make out that no one needs a puretrak because in your opinion, boogiebug is all anyone needs. You hadn't watched the video I'd posted or you would have seen that you don't even have to wash it because liquid sits on top of it, wipes off and the pad is immediately usable. You hadn't watched the video or you would have heard how the guy compared this pad to others.

You seem to think the only point I was making was about the water staining. Did you miss the bit about precision and how it's regarded as one of the worlds best for actual gaming? Did you miss the bit about fray proof? Did you miss the bit about how the logo is embedded into the weave thus not affecting the mouse tracking? Seems you missed all those points or simply didn't think they're important.

Yes I most definitely missed all of those points just because you seem to get annoyed very easily in a defensive huff ;)

I simply came in here to let people know of another great mousepad, not to argue with someone who is obviously not a serious enough gamer to discern between a cheapo value for money piece of cloth with ok tracking, and a precision pad that in the right hands can make a big difference. If someone is crap at FPS for example, they won't really see much benefit between a boogiebug, a razer mantis control or a teacloth.

I have a seven year old Func surface1030 and it does what it says on the tin - literally as I recall as it came in one ;)
