I'm the sucker that bought nvidias first gpu, the diamond edge card....expensive for the time and it never got past beta drivers, i've always been of the opinion everyone who got one of those should have been compensated.

next...? Unsure at this point I've gone past the stage where I'm interested in the best bang for the buck and am only interested in high performance cards mostly because of monitor res (1440p UW). Have been eyeing the 3090 but leaks suggests the 3080 isn't that great over a 2080ti and 3090 isn't much over the 3080. So might wait to see what RDNA2 brings to the table or maybe there will be a 3080ti by then? (Theres also the issue of whether I'll still have a job come november what with recent events being what they are and the country goes to the dogs).

So its all up in the air at this point.

Next will be a 3080 on launch day and will sell up and use the 1070 until RDNA2 arrives if it's going to be a better card. I know I'll lose a little in selling it on but I've had this 1070 since January 2017 so stuff it. If I can get my hands on one that is. :)

Some Voodoo card back in the day, then lots of cards I can;t remember, then Nvidia 5 something or other only ones I can remember are the ones after that, 780ti then 1080. Probably going to go for a 3070 or 3080 next although in no rush my 1080 is still doing the biz.

My dad had a 286 with a Diamond graphics card (ISA addin) for work back in the 80s (interfaced with a highend digital microscope) - had 2MB VRAM and cost £3K just for the graphics card.

I think it must have been a bespoke product as I've never found an exact match on the list for Diamond cards.

Think there was another Nvidia card in there but can't remember which. Will probably wait for some games to come out that I actually want to play.

I think my first graphics card was an ATI 3D Rage.

Looking back on it, not every impressive at all, but it was the very first steps in to 3D.

Since then I have bought every generation of card that came out...at least once.

Too many to mention.

Some kind of video card in my 486 back in 1994. And currently using a 1080Ti FTW 3.

But will be upgrading to a 3080 card soon.
