High Points

I would have to say for me personally I have 3 high points in my Graphical History Tree!

The Voodoo 5 5500 just blew me out the water at the time and ran Quake 3 Arena so silkily smooth I loved it! However the card was quickly exposed as lacking the necessary features when Max Payne arrived which it ran terribly due to a lack of T&L! However it was awesome to have a dual GPU setup in my system, loved it! I still have the box and card to this day.

The ATi Radeon x1800xt was another card which just blew me away! This was the main focal point of my brand new from scratch build where I got myself a pc which I was more than happy with! Probably my most successful build at the time and being at that high end of the performance market felt great, although the card was bested after its massive delays in around 3months time.

The 8800GTS 320MB was very much like the previous two in the way it established a giant leap in performance and tech from what I was using previously! I still await that feeling of massive changes in performance again and I'm hoping I will see this with the Next generation! I will probably upgrade eventually to the 4870x2 which will hopefully be a monster! :D

Low Points

My continued frustration with the reliability of many Inno3d branded cards I've had over the years! They just kept dieing on me before even the days that I was overclocking. I foolishly gave them another try with the 8800GT recently but they bit me again! So no longer will I seek out those cheap alternatives

When unfortunately 3DFX quickly died after my purchase of the Voodoo 5 5500 :( This meant discontinued support even though the card itself was pretty good at what it did!

Sheer Luck

The Ati Radeon x1950pro I recieved for free 2months after ordering it! I obviously got a refund after the card got lost somehow with the courier and all of a sudden the Royal Mail dropped the card off at my house randomly! I came home to a massive parcel and wondered what I had ordered haha! Was an amazing stroke of luck and was a damn nice card also!
