The cycle has been broken. AMD's Fury will be terrible!

I'm not biased to any brand but after playing around with crossfire I am happy to say that I don't think I'll be going back to AMD for a long while. The thread on here about the fury was actually quite entertaining to read through, all just speculation with 0 evidence :D

Sli and Gsync is going to be awesome. The 6gb vram should be solid for the years to come. Nice rig by the way! My one will be fairly similair

I changed from AMD Xfire for the same reasons. When it works it works really well, issue is it barely ever worked for me in the games I wanted :(

I can't get over how good G-Sync is. I recently had 3 weeks of using a normal 60hz monitor and everything felt off.

Compared to some of your lists i've had nothing

Onboard
Nvidia Geforce 4 mx 420
Nvidia Geforce 7900 gto
Nvidia Geforce 9600 gt
Nvidia Geforce 9600 gt Sli
AMD Radeon 7850
AMD Radeon 7950
AMD Radeon R9 290x

I'm scared of getting too used to 144hz 1440p sli gsync goodness as I still play the ps4 sometimes for their exclusives.

But yeah, when crossfire works it is amazing (battlefield 4, sleeping dogs, tomb raider) but usually it doesn't (witcher3, watchdogs, far cry4) which is annoying because you don't get your moneys worth out of your products. :D

AMD 3870
Nvidia 460
Nvidia 580

Think it's probably just about time for an upgrade now!?

Can't decide whether to get a 970/290 style card for £250 ish, or splash out on something like a 980Ti and possibly a 4k monitor later in the year.

Decisions decisions!

Get a 980 ti if you were planning to sli the 970.
