What is your guilty pleasure when it comes to food ?

I'll start, curried chips, 2 battered sausages and a chicken burger at the local chippy or a trip to Mc donalds for some fries and a quarter pounder :D
Or sometimes salt and pepper squid with egg noodles *drools*

Butter! I eat a lot of it, I believe it's good for me though so I don't feel guilty at all, but most people would so that'll have to do.:p

Butter, preferably organic is rich in butryic acid. I'd say the quality of the food is more important than going just by its title, e.g. red meat, butter, etc. I'd rather eat butter / olive oil than margerine.

Butyric acid is a short chain fatty acid, which supports the health and healing of cells in the small and large intestine, and serves the natural processes of aerobic energy metabolism. Short chain fatty acids can have the protective ability of impeding the proliferation of damaging cells in the colon, and have been associated with helping to maintain healthy blood lipid and sugar levels.

I definitely don't feel guilty now.

Believe it or not I've researched and tried many different brands of butter from organic to unpasteurised to 100% pasture fed etc, but I find that good old Anchor butter is the one that suits me most, it's from 100% pasture fed cattle which may or may not be important as far as nutrient content is concerned, but it definitely has a more natural taste imo than a lot of mass produced butters.

Butter is also said to be rich in CLA which has been associated with disease fighting/prevention properties, not to mention the high fat soluble vitamin content, also one of the few sources of dietry iodine which is said to greatly benefit thyroid health.

Anyway, besides all that butter is one of the greatest tasting foods in the world!:D
