Your highest *average* speed?

You really had to tell us? :p ;) :D

I don't know my highest average speed, in the truck though, it tends to be around 35MPH.

Greenock to South Manchester (247 miles) in 2 hours 50 minutes which works out at 86mph. Didn't drop below 100mph from the M74 to the English border. Fuel warning light came on as I entered my road having averaged 27mpg.

Rochdale to York (about 65 miles) in 42 minutes door to door with no speeding in the 30 limits. It was about 8pm on a weekday evening and I was really on a mission.

For A roads it has to be from work in Wetherby back to York in 14 minutes, also without speeding through the villages.

How do you find your average speed?
Do you strap a cycle computer to your car? lol

seriously though, is there a way to do this? G-Meter perhaps?

How many miles you did / how long it took in hours = average MPH :)

e.g 40miles in 30mins = 40/0.5= 80mph average speed

A forum member and I, along with another passenger and a car packed full of luggage drove ~590 miles in 6 hours with two fuel stops and a half hour stop for lunch.

Impressive going, on the continent perchance?

209 miles (Hull to home) in 2hours 40minutes.

In a 1.3 Austin Allegro that had done 110,000 miles at that point. What's that? Average 80mph? Not bad :D
