Price is key.

Overclockers have been beaten on price on their retail games in the past, as long as they can match other retailers they'll be fine.

Might pre-order Bioshock: Infinite when a release date is set, also, someone spelt Rapture, Rature on the description.

my bad, will fix it monday [I'M off work today]
I type too fast

It only makes the difference if it's taken on board. ;)

thats why I'm asking. I want to make these changes and your opinion does count!

that's the aim, we will never be the cheapest 100% of the time, but I am aiming to get us very competitive.

Seriously though guys, thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. Customer feedback is important here, Games is an area that I really want to improve, If it means that I have to ask you guys for your opinions every now and again then so be it, but judging the feedback here it seems that everyone in the PC games section is open to sharing their opinions which is exactly what I wanted.

I will make a post Monday with some of my ideas and we will take it from there, In the meantime feel free to place your votes on the poll as the feedback is much appreciated

The price would have to be very competitive for me to purchase off OcUK. I use an online shop that sells just cd keys, and they are the best price around for all the new releases. If you could get be BF3 for less than £21, then id be interested.

Not interested in DVD boxes or even the media anymore. Steam or other online activation is way better and quicker.

Problem is Steam can be so expensive when compared to online shops. I do like games like Metro 2033 that can be activated against your steam account. Install once, throw the DVD away and never grace your DVD drive again..

I remember big box games, used to take up so much room.. I now PC game mostly on the go, laptop etc... Carrying the games with me, no thanks..!!

Steam is easy and quick. I pre ordered Batman Arkham City the other day, I just wish it was a Steamworks game, but its not.. Sadly

So long as the price is right this would be excellent. All the benefits of pre-loading (which really is a great thing) without having to pay the oft-times excessive prices on Steam (or Origin). You're also guaranteed your game on release day, even if the post is a little on the slow side.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is how the code is transferred to the email.

1) If you are taking photos of the manual with the code on then OK.

2) But if you are having the tea boy sit there opening boxes and manually inputting codes all day, what happens if he types one of the codes incorrectly. If OcUK have then binned the box, how is the customer supposed to get a working key?

Also some games have keygens available on line. If you send a code to someone that happens to have already been assigned by a keygen, how does the customer then prove to Steam/EA that they bought it from OcUK?

Also how will this affect returns?

Question, does OCUK ship games outside UK, to Czech Republic for example? I had shipped NEC 24WMGX3 screen, so I assume yes. Sorry for OT.

As for answer - I would prefer both (get code immediately and box later), but if that is not possible, I would prefer code immediately and lower price.

The whole 10% of us :p

To be honest I would prefer the CD key option.

With the way the industry is going now a days everything is online and with the way
internet connections are there is no need for a physical disk, its easier to have it downloaded
and then you never loose the game either due to disk damage or anything like that.

I personally have the Virgin Media 100Mb internet connection and most of the time I will
get download speeds of about 12-13Mbps so its better to download a game in my
opinion.
