Your parcel is due for delivery by DPD . . .

Why did you have to bump this, I went through the process of reading through the thread, becoming more and more sure stockhausen is either an idiot or a troll with each one of his posts I read, all over again... I already did that once earlier in the year! :p

My apologies! I was going to start a new thread but a quick search showed there were many already ;)

Bump - Have DPD fallen from grace?

It's honestly a first world problem but for the second time in a week, the DPD delivery driver has obviously been in a big rush, or could not be bothered to deliver my parcel. They drove to the the rough location of my address so their GPS said they were there, took a picture of the building without getting out the van (not even of the front door) and then submitted "sorry we missed you!" on the system and drove off.

DPD used to be spot on but this is quite frustrating. Ironically, Amazon parcels have been delivered just fine on the same day on both occasions.

Anyone else seen this recently?

I think it's probably a case of the company expecting too much of their original workforce who have upped and left so now they fill the gaps with just anyone with no real standards control

I personally think DPD are the only decent couriers in the UK. the frustration I feel when I find out something has been sent using Herrmes... unfathomable.

At least it's not *shudder* Citylink, i used to have a sig based on my experiences with them when ocuk used to use them which i had to remove at some point. They're long defunct now.

Agreed, they've been great up until now

Shudder indeed, were they swallowed by another courier?

City Link :p

I watched the driver with my delivery on board driving down my street and then drive away as there was limited parking and he couldn’t be bother to walk 50 yards to my door.

Then he would lie when I went to collect the parcel advising he popped a card through my door. :D This happened several times.

They always did that kind of thing, " a message was left" and there never was. They lost my 4870x2 for a day, I called them about it and was told over the phone "oh I think that package has been lost somewhere" finally arrived the next day. It was rare that something would arrive on time from them, at least in my experience.

I take your point but in my experience, :29 or :59 is ALWAYS quoted - WHY?

Very quickly found five, there are loads more

DPD delivered my 2 1070ti's from overclockers yesterday. Came within the right timeframe, but left the box on the doorstep and didn't even ring the bell. Luckily I heard the van, so checked to see if there was anything, and found the squashed (not badly, but clearly bottom of the pile) box on the doorstep.

Used to be very good, seem to be getting worse.

For me, the best, and still the best, is simply royal mail.

At least DPD isn't Hermes.
