Interesting little questionnaire that apparently knows your political stance based on a series of questions.

I honestly think of my self as centre right, i voted Brexit for reasons i could go on about all day, I think Trump is a reaction to political correctness gone way too far, i would never vote Labour because i think they are lunatic Marxists and i hope we all know how many bodies that's stacked up in the last 100 years....... you get the picture.

And yet this test thinks i'm Centre left, a bit librarian, maybe i am, maybe what i see as the left has gone much too far left, did i mention that i think Labour are basically Marxists?

Here it is, see how you get on. https://www.politicalcompass.org/test

You appear to be a typical working class Tory. It's all so simple voting based on instinct/the heart/Daily Mail headlines however when you actually try to analyse which party would serve your best interests you don't get the result you expect.

Oh, and I would keep your dubious librarian tendencies under a hat if I were you...

Well, right now i would sooner vote for Mr Moog than Corbyn, or May.

"dubious librarian tendencies" ? could you expand on that? i'll read it tomorrow, i'm off too bed, its already way later than i would like it to be.

Humbug, I land just one square further into libertarian than you. Over the past 10 years I don't think I've changed much on the left/right axis, but depending on the day I can be up or down on the auth/lib axis, but not to the extremes.

Most people will land somewhere near the centre from my recollection of previous times this has been posted and discussed.

Yeah, I remember all those people murdered by the Labour Party. Oh wait...

did i mention that i think Labour are basically Marxists?

I do seem to recall something along those lines. Anyway, congratulations on being a librarian, I guess. It's a good job, quiet indoor work with no heavy lifting.

I'm pretty much as far-right as you can get.

Apparently not. (bear in mind that political compass is an american site. far-right by european standards basically translates to democrat in the usa). :p

We must have had this thread at least 10 times - still fun though :p

Each time I end up about 3-4 notches above the ‘L’ in libertarian, with all the other sane people (I jest!)

I'm same as Evangelion except I didn't tick to eat unborn babies and deport thought criminals.

Not enough options to answer with, I got similar you but I could both agree and disagree with some questions. Not a very accurate test imo.

Many questions are subjective. For example what is a 'freer' person. Freer to do what etc, free from what etc.

Take with pinch of salt.

Edit: I got exactly one square up from Evangelion.

Focusing on the wrong axis. What we think of as left and right are both authoritarian, but most people are libertarian, that's why left and right both seem like bad options. Govt needs to stop telling people how to live.

My views come from the Bible teachings I had when younger, for example abortion, I don't believe that under 99.9% of circumstances should abortion be legal as it is murder in my eyes. So that's still what's shaped my views to this day and I'm thankful for it.

Why are you thankful for essentially being brainwashed as a child?
