I was reading an article on Sky about how much people carried around with them, and was shocked at how much thieves could steal moneywise.

The average Briton carries £851 worth of stuff around with them. I didn't think it would be that much... So I added up the stuff I usually carry around with me:

  1. iPod - £210
  2. Razr - £130
  3. Cash - Never leave with less than £10
  4. Clothes - £20 tops/£40 jeans/£55 shoes/£5 underwear and socks - £120 average

Total: £470

What about you guys?
 
Where do you live..I mean hang out and what do you look like...How would I know you in a crowd?

Well im not worth jack probably about 200 quid in clothes and 10 quid for the Siemens A5.
 
A question if it's £100. Counting clothes is silly in my view, you're hardly going to be asked to remove your jeans on demand for a thief. I wouldn't think many people carry £851's worth of gear around, and as an average it's plain ridiculous.
 
When was the last time you were mugged for your clothes? :eek: :D

I'm probably worth around £300.

Bearing in mind theives will rarely sell 2nd hand items at the full price you bought them for, so strictly worth a little less than the estimate.
 
Trousers: $4 at thrift store
Shirt : $1 at thrift store
Shoes $17 at Payless
Socks and underwear: $7 from Kohl's

Wallet: $7 (I suppose I should go to the bank)
Cell phone: 4 years old, probably with $5

As you all can tell, I'm a high-roller. ;)

You do realise of course, that you've initiated the biggest excuse for bragging since the 'what's the largest amount of cash you've ever handled' thread. I forgot my Prada moccasins and the Tag Heuer.

if you really carry more than £300 worth of stuff around with you on an average day (even including clothes) you deserve to be mugged.

right.. my mp3 player and phone are worth more than that. i guess i could just scrape buy if i didnt wear any clothes :rolleyes:

dkny watch =150
italy top = 35
jeans = 40
puma shoes = 75
phone = 150
wallet = 50 quid in there
and an mp3 player at 100

= £600

Usually go to the bank when my wallet reaches about £400, but then when I am out and about i'm usually working anyway so it's unlikely I'm gonna get mugged. My clothes and phone etc are worthless.
