Download a program called Coretemp, use this to monitor your cpu temperature. As long as your cpu stays under 60C and only has 1.5v or less going through itself it will be fine.

For now, use whatever heatsink and fan you have. See how far you can overclock before temps get high, aftermarket heatsinks and fans can be purchased if you want to overclock further in the future. Let us know how you get on.

If you're not replacing the heatsink on the chip remember that temperature is V*V*F i.e. increasing voltage increases the heat a lot more than making the chip go faster.

Also be sure to test for stability and heat when the chip is under load for a period of time.

EDIT: Oh and sometimes you can get an overclock while at the same time lowering the voltage a little (but don't go nuts) if heat is an issue.
