Youtube forced name change

Anyone know how to undo this?

I went on and the box popped up that google+ wants you to change name I clicked no (as always) but yet it still changed my name then it said this can be undone but the box disappeared so no clue how. :mad:

Well, you must have clicked yes, otherwise it wouldn't have changed

It's highly annoying, it's pretty much becoming mandatory by the looks of things. Can you not change anything under your account settings? Linked accounts etc?

I've ended up using youtube in incognito mode for general useage so its not logged in as its getting annoying how often that pops up just as your starting to watch a video no matter how many times you tell it you don't want to use your full name.

trust me i click the one were it says keep current name have done for months now as google+ get a hard on for asking me nearly everday

I've looked everywhere and can't see anything it's added me to my original google account as a page whatever that is,

taken away my username,picture everything and swapped it all with this new thing

Yes, it's added you as a page, so you clicked the button.

I've accidentally clicked on that today and when I went to delete google+ thing, it wanted to delete all my youtube videos too together with it. Now I'm stuck with it. I use a separate account for YT, so there isn't my name or any other personal info. Google+ is a complete fail that must be why they're forcing people to use it.

Well that sucks, but I clicked NO but it done it anyway, that is my main issue... lol

If you clicked no, it wouldn't have forced it upon you. You obviously mispressed it, whether it can be reversed I'm unsure.

I've had it many times, and still haven't had it forced upon me, I keep pressing no.

Hugely annoying, if I wanted to use my real name for YT I would have done it in the first place :/ Can't remember what I clicked but it hasn't bothered me for a few weeks

It doesn't force it on you.

Log in to your google account elsewhere, click account, then find connected accounts, mine has youtube set and you can remove it, I have no idea what this does

Changed my google account name to my youtube name. sorted

also you can unlink accounts I think. Ive somehow managed to stop it trying to change my name, have deleted everything off google plus as its crap

I've had it change my name twice. Annoying as hell and to change it back it seems like it's tucked away.

It pushes you into having a Google+ Account, it forces you, in that you lose your Channel if you do not accept this, there is no simple way to 'Opt Out' you accept it and gain a Google+ Account or you do not accept it and lose your YouTube Channel and all your saved Video/Playlists/Subs etc.

I do not want a Google+ or any social media type account, I despise the things, to me they are the bane of the modern World and the ruin of the Internet, they are already highly intrusive to the many people who do not want or ever will want anything to do with them and this is now effectively blackmailing you into Google+ just because you have a YouTube account. :mad:
