My UAE family sub got the dreaded household email.

I thought I'd try the 3rd party apps before I go the apple turkey route... and I'm thoroughly impressed on how far they've come... I'm using morphe on the Android phones and smart tube on the TV via my 2018 4K fire stick....

and everything is running flawlessly and with the bonus of soo many more extra settings +features... and I can cast from my phone to the TV like Chromecast would.

I can even download videos on my phone using an extra ytDL app that connects onto morphe.

So 2 of my family plan members got the email last week (they do live in another house!) will it be enough to watch via a VPN on my device (with their IP) for a week or 2 to get them off our back for a while? Or should I get them to respond to the email?

I could also leave Mr Beast counting to 100`000 on loop via a VM if that would help

Has anyone here actually been kicked out of a family group yet?

Yeah I got notified the other week. Now I just use lite and it’s the same for my needs.

I did the same and they reinstated mine.

Not that need it anymore now I have moved onto 3rd party equivalents.

They did stress they'd monitor that I was in the same household.

Took some finessing but within a few minutes I had guessed enough info correctly to get the UPI to verify.

They have been for a while, yeah. Seems they've been taking a similar approach to Netflix in that regard. I expect the OcUK piece was also to do with people agreeing to contribute £x per month and then failing to make those payments, causing a lot of aggro.

Family member travels a lot and got the email last week.

Can anyone shed some light on why these people are so greedy? Are they not making enough money from us??

This is why we do the subscription from other regions etc. as paying the asking UK rates is absolutely mental.

Didnt they clamp down on that? or is there a new work around?

I had one from India but the card used to pay wasnt so it stopped.

No its a mixture of TV and phone.

Also use youtube music for the gym

Morphe and smart tube have you covered if you have android. Otherwise overseas sub.

I managed to get my premium sub back but still use Morphe as it has so many more features than stock app.

Looks like they’ve finally closed the Apple India loophole. The App Store now requires you to verify your UPI via your Indian banking app.
