Rock Baroque violin...you might like this one too. The original is probably the most famous piece of Baroque music - Canon in D Major by Pachelbel. JerryC did a rock version for guitar and these anonymous musicians are doing a violin rock version of it.

For using the violin in a contempory style of music, my favourite is still Paul Dateh's hip hop violin:

I like his latest mashup too, although I think it goes downhill a bit when he stops playing violin. He can sing...but he can play violin better:
