I was tending a bar recently when a customer asked for a glass of ice cubes and slices of lemon because she was "detoxing".
I was so tempted to reply "that's what your kidneys are for", but I was at work so I just gave her what she wanted.
I think we need to tighten up on false medical claims. Companies selling useless or dangerous products can too easily get away with it by carefully not making any clear claims and covering that up with advertising that implies those things without technically saying them. Which, of course, is why none of the companies selling "detox" products will ever say exactly what toxins they claim their products will remove from your body - that would be a legally binding claim.
No, I read a follow up on that recently as he is a presidential candidate still on very long odds. I think he'd be funnier then Bush even, considering the alternatives now maybe the least worst choice. Their president doesnt have to be much more influential then our Queen as I understand it though its obviously supposed to be a lot more, I think the power is with the congress
