First Convo said:Him: So where in Britain are you from?
Me: Mid Wales.
Him: So you live in England?
Me: No I live in Wales. It's a different country.
Him: I thought England was the country of Britain.
Me: You say what? No, there are 4 countries. England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Him: Is Scotland part of England then?
Sceond Convo said:Him: You're from Wales then?
Me: Yeah, near Cardiff
Him: Oh wow! I have a mate who lives near there, in Sheffield!
Me: Um.... ok.
Him: You must know him!
Me: Well Sheffield's a bit of a drive...
Him: Nah it's all tiny. Anyway, his name's Steve, you know him?
Me: (Just wanted to end the convo). Oh STEVE! Yeah I know Steve. He's getting on ok actually. Oh dear, have to go sorry

crystaline said:[for those who don't know, ads will be displayed after the vid has finished and the click through moneys will be shared with the maker of the video]

I applaud the OP for making his point clearer than ever with the direction of this topic.

MasterMike said:Northern Ireland is currently part of the United Kingdom, but not of Great Britain, technically speaking. Your point about generalisation was well made.
