I found it funny, only because he screamed 'this is youtube material!' Clearly the act is abhorrent and I feel for her family.
 
Hmm, that him and his 2 friends would consider such a thing fun just sickens me. :mad:

I'd much rather be reading about three 'chavs' who saw a disabled lady in distress and rushed to help out and make sure she was still breathing, phoned an ambulance etc.

you need to have a little lesson in getting the point. I can't stand all the holier than thou crap from this thread - it's not like (and I do recall saying this at least once in this thread, so forgive the complete desperation) I find it funny when you describe it from your point of view (although I can see it from your point of view, and it definitely isn't funny when you say it), I find it funny through my eyes - and you can't tell me to grow up because I'm able to see the funny side of it. who do you think you are telling me to grow up?

Still i cannot see anything even remotely amusing about picturing what happened.

The only time i've ever seen anyone laugh at this type of thing is when i visited a friend who was unfortunately in a mental health institution. There was a patient sitting in the smoking lounge who found a car crash funny although he was tanked up on anti-psychotics.

well, that's fine. I'm not asking people to find it funny at all - I just posted it because everyone in my office laughed, and I thought other people would.

what I REALLY can't stand is people making assumptions about me because of what I find funny, and what I can see humour in like I'm some sort of complete idiot. I bet half of you lot find Billy Connelly funny, and I think he's terrible. would I call you a retard because of that?! no.

I'm sorry but you must be sick to find that funny and are also the people who spur this on just like happy slapping videos. If people didn't find it funny, they wouldn't be made like they are.

I've tried explaining how I find it funny, and apparently that makes me worse. You've just explained it in black and white, and if that's how you see it, then you're right, it's not funny.

In Sic's defence, if you take anything, and brake it down into its constituent parts it's never going to be funny.

Look at slapstick for example: man nearly gets hit by plank of wood, then does get hit by wood falling down concust.

The above isn't funny, but if you watched it as part of a sketch show you'd probably laugh.

Equally,lets take a 'youtube moment' that people have found hilariously funny. There's a clip on youtube, that I cant link to due to swearing, where some obviously obsessed Britney spears fan is weeping asking people to leave the troubled singer alone. He is obviously suffering from some sort of illness. This, as I have described it, is not funny. The video itself, however, was one of the top watched videos on youtube a couple of days ago, because it is funny if you don't deconstruct it.
