Z77 & H77 MOTHERBOARDS LAUNCHED!

I actually prefer Gigabytes black/blue look over the black/grey. That got old very quick tbh. At least they've got rid of the guns/magazine heatsinks off the sniper boards ! I have one, love the board but that heatsink....

Anyway i think i'm one of the few who loved gigabytes old blue/orange and lime green colour scheme :)

Looks good although i really don't know how to compare them myself XD

Surely going to be ordering one of these soon though.

Gigabyte or Asus
Cant decide.
So for i5 2500K, worth changing from P67 to Z77 or Z68 ?

Personally I don't see anything on Z77 worth changing for.

P67 already supports IB with a bios update. You've already got USB 3.0 on P67.

About all you gain is PCI-E 3.0, which is a non-issue atm. The ability to use your on chip GPU... woo. And the SSD caching for mechanical HDD... meh.

If i was looking at upgrading my motherboard for SLI with the i5 2500k, should i go for a z77 or stick to a z68?

Does anyone know which of the newest boards post the quickest? I'm hoping for a super fast boot time later this year with IB and Win 8.

If you have to change motherboard anyways and don't mind spending the little extra then get a Z77 board.

Don't know which is fastest but I've got an MSI Z77A-GD65. It takes about 12s from pressing the button to the end of the POST, then I'm into Windows desktop at around 23s :)
