Zavvi placed into administration

Quite sad to see it go down the Pan it was my favorite music shop to go to. mainly because it was a lot cheaper than it's other competitors and the staff often really helpfull.

Suffice to say all my music will probably come from digital downloads now as i don't tend to shop at the other music store.

A shame for those loosing jobs as a result but I'm not surprised as the stores never seemed busy whenever I was near one, and they were as others have said ridiculously expensive on some items!

You were the one who brought the 'Should go back to Uni' line in so you can hardly be offended when somebody uses, word for word, your phrase back at you :p

You always need the last say.

Shame really, Zavvi were nearly always cheaper and had a better range of music I actually liked then the HMV in town here. Might go along some point soon and see if theres any good clearance deals, as they had some good CD stock last time I checked. I did wonder why they had no Sonata Arctica CDs in there section last time I looked though, as they seemed to be low on a few big band CDs which seemed madness a few weeks before xmas as thats when your best sale potential is to be had!

The company who wholesale there gear are run by wollies, so as wollies hit the deck so did this other company which are now inturn taking Zavvi with them.

Wal-Mart is the parent company of Asda.
No, really...? And there I was thinking it was owned by Sir Geoff Mulcahy.

My point, in case you missed it, is that Lysander said Asda isn't a multinational - he didn't say Walmart wasn't (admittedly because he forgot that Asda is owned by Walmart... which I didn't forget incidentally). Irrespective of the fact that Asda was acquired by Walmart, Asda itself is still not a multinational company.
