Its a really decent chip though
yeah it'll do me nicely. further down the road will probably get a 8 core second hand when folk upgrade to whatever is the new kid on the block.

With 3600cl16 as You have stock soc andI dont have a lot of experience with Ryzen so there is a lot of settings I'm not familiar with. I had mine at 3600mhz 16 16 16 36 1.35v with stock SOC voltage and matching IF. Changed it to 15 15 15 35 without touching freq or voltages, C20 would run fine but AC Odyssey would crash. Should I increase DRAM voltage or what do you recommend?

motherboard just arrived patiently waiting on processor.. between 5 and 6 delivery slot.
I was able to get 3600Mhz 15-15-15-35 at 1.4V, Im going to check later if I can bring it down further. The BIOS on the X570 Taichi is bugged at the moment so you cant push IF past 1800Mhz so I cant try pushing that higher either. With 3600cl16 as You have stock soc and

You are better off Trying out 14/15/15/34/45 with 1.4 volts and see how taht goes. Zen does not seem to like cl like 13/15/17ect
For 3600 deffo Soc 1.050 is plenty and Vddg 0.950
cool For free good test popI was able to get 3600Mhz 15-15-15-35 at 1.4V, Im going to check later if I can bring it down further. The BIOS on the X570 Taichi is bugged at the moment so you cant push IF past 1800Mhz so I cant try pushing that higher either.
I have memtest64 Ive also tried 3D Mark Stress test for everything in general. The one that seems to detect a problem right away is Assassin Creed Odyssey, game crashes as soon the open world renders.cool For free good test pop

if You want to spend few quid get

gotta love bios bugs :/
Generally I think Zen likes 1.4 volts for ddr's. My fav testing volts with teamgroup ram is 1.40 1.43 1.46 not always more volts will keep it stable cause of ddr temps.I have memtest64 Ive also tried 3D Mark Stress test for everything in general. I'm like Does he have soem fancy zen2 specific memory ?? Naaa just box
3800X with -0.100v offset max around 73CWhat temps are people getting on the non-AMD cooler please?
On my 3900x which is clocked at 4.35 with 1.325 volts, 38 to 40 degrees celsius idle and gaming the highest I have seen it go up to is 62 degrees celsius. When benching i can push it to 71 degrees celsius but it's not climbed higher then that. What temps are people getting on the non-AMD cooler please?
I forgot to say this is benching as well, havent done much gaming yet.3800X with -0.100v offset max around 73C
With PBO are you seeing sustained core boosts over 4.4Ghz or just getting brief flashes for a second or so?
I imagine quite toasty. 10-15 minutes with my NH-U12P and it yo-yos between 60 and 75 (average around 65).whats the stock temps gaming for a few hrs on the stock cooler for the 3700x and the 3900x ?
Yeah AGESA versions at the moment are having a factor in how the CPUs are boosting. Its strange though because AB is meant to be the best one.just installed my 3700X the fans are doing my head in. I had them set to my water temps but for some reasons its ignoring it and spinning up based on the cpu temps.
was boosting to almost 4.39Ghz in cinebench , but now boosting to 4.33Ghz after installed 1.0.0.3AB for the Aorus Gaming 7.
