Zombicide!

Dead of Winter and Zombicide are both great fun and very different. Zombicide is more about gearing up and kicking arse, whereas Dead of Winter is more about planning and narrative. In my mind's eye a hybrid of the two exists and it is truly glorious!

Both are co-op, both are excellently made with quality art work and pieces. Dead of Winter involves no painting of figures - it comes with survivor/zombie cutouts you add to bases - which is a plus or minus depending on what you're into. It also has a betrayal element. Any one of you could be working against the group, or not - it's more likely you're all on the same team - you just don't know! Suspicion is always bubbling under the surface, which is half the fun. The way the story can unfold is very cool too, with random events kicking in when certain criteria are met. Bandits attack the colony - do you fight them off or give into their demands. Someone has a heart attack - can you get them to the hospital etc. It's more gritty, atmospheric and real. Now Zombicide is just pure badass. Chainsaw in one hand and double barrelled shotgun in the other. Different zombies classes, types, vehicles. It's like a great zombie video game in board form. The miniatures are excellent and look great unpainted and amazing when. tbh both deserve a place in any board game collection and both are essential for zombie fans! :D
