These days you also need an asian, someone in a wheelchair, a fatty, a kid, his/her mother, some idiot with a video camera, an angry man, a whimpering woman who just screams all the time, a jock/chav. Personally, I'd kill them all and go on my own.
 
I would get a big fat black dude, an annoying black woman, some US Hillbilly an AK47 and take down some Tanks :)

That depends on the type of zombie and how infectious the blood is. Some zombie types you really don't want close range cutting/bludgeoning weapons. The chances are, you aren't going to have this information if you have woken up from a coma. Even news papers reports will probably only be brief.
 
Like the (original) survivors on l4d, I'd want to head to a small island of some kind. Clear the local zombie population away, and then live a nice quiet life of boredom.
 
One of our clan members posted this on our forums. Thought it was a great thread. Sorry if this has been done before.

Few of us have gone zombie mad as of late, playing L4D and Dead rising + the new series Walking dead is out.... so its only fair we discuss a few key points.

This is based on.... You have no Friends or family left, You had waken up from a coma (like walking dead) to find the world was in a Zombie Apocalypse. There are survivors (not near you) but no channel broadcasting a safe heaven.

1) Get dressed

2) My shotguns from my cabinet at home

3) Defender 90

4) Scimitar APC

5) Depends how many useful people I'd find

6) Jamie Oliver

7) Zombie

8) World domination obviously

It wouldn't matter about the news, as I go through life as a paranoid sod anyway. If I woke up in a deserted hospital my first thought would be to clothe and arm myself automatically.

As for blood, Romero zombies need to actually pierce the skin rather than just bleed on you. Besides, swords are fine if you use them correctly.

who said it was romero zombies though, rather than some sort of virus (i am legend, T-Virus or something else).
