Hi. Yes I sold it. However, during the sale I tried to explain how rare these are and what a great car it was but I got the sense the new owner will just be using it as reliable transport.

I agree with your idea of wrapping the wood. The wood takes the sporty vibe from it, so I would wrap it in carbonfibre effect. That would certainly make the interior more modern.

I noticed I was getting a lot of water in the passenger footwell, on the last few days of ownership. I traced it down to the rubber on the door, as the water would run down the side / rubber and then as the rubber curved around it would come into the car, over the foot plate and in to the foot well. This happened to me on my pajero and hte fix was to cut a V into the rubber as it turns / follows the curved part of the door which stopped the water coming in. So, go check yours.

I also started to noticed a slight slip when changing from 2rd to 3rd too. Was going to drop the fluid a couple of times to see if that would help.

Was a lovely car, enjoyed the short ownership of it. Looking at your one, feel quite sad but nice to have room back on my drive.

Looks like you sold at right time, well, checked mine and all is good there. Rubbers in right position and no water etc.

Just took it to an LPG specialist to see about fixing the LPG conversion which doesn't work. Because it's a 14 year old system, he may find it difficult to find the parts, however, he's going to let me know. There's a cheap fix and a little more than I want to pay fix to replace the front end of the system... I'm 50/50...

Worked out I'm getting around 23-24mpg which isn't great and LPG would consistantly give me 40+... would've spent say £250 to get it fixed, but if it creeps up... there comes a point... not sure what to do. On the flip side I intend to keep this car...

Just checked on howmanyleft and looks like there could only be 46 left licenced in UK now... from how I read it one, if the V6 Auto's is the 2.5ltr and the other is the Millers due to lower initial sales, and the way its going I reckon they'll be less than 20 registered in the UK within 24 months... nice to have a niche car... infact probably the rarest car on the roads for a "mainstream" car.

Remember looking at these (had no idea about the engines though) years ago before I plonked for a Volvo S90.
I was put off by the rarity.

Ive had a few LPG systems. It comes down to how long / how many miles you do to help you decide if its worth it. Also, the LPG mirrors the injection map and I found that sometimes this would cause an issue on the automatic box knowing when to change. LPG isnt as `sparky` as petrol so if you get 23 on petrol then assume a 17/18 on LPG.

Still makes sense as LPG is cheap now and if it only costs you £300 to get it working then you only have to do 5K miles to get your many back ( there is an LPG calculator on google somewhere ).

I found my car was very poor on fuel. Reading the various sites where the sales guides mentioned 30/34 ? no way :)

Still, I loved that supercharger whine though ! :)

Yeah tbh, I think I'll be getting it fixed, that way the car is 100%. Annoys me when there's something not quite right and tbh, I'd get that cost back either in fuel or if I sell (not that I plan to sell obviously).

I run LPG on my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0ltr... on petrol it'll do around 18mpg, on LPG it's around 16mpg so loses circa 2-3mpg... but then again it's 49p where I live less than half price to so me, it's doubling the economy of thre car. This Xedos is around the 23-24mpg, so I reckon 40 easily is acheivable. Think I'll get it done in a week or two and booked in.

Jesus, just changed the cabin air filter on this thing... OMFG, what a mess... absolutely crammed full of leaves and god knows what. New one in, ice cold aircon probably a good 25% more powerful than before, result and all for £9.99 for two filters. I reckon the old one.... must've been years and years old!!!

It's the gearing... that's the problem, it was built not for 0-60 times... the power is enough for a low 7's, BUT the problem is the gearing... it has great midrange and is one of these that when booted say at 50mph it just whips upto 120+ so smoothly and silently... (allegidly lol)

As for mods, nope there's simply nothing out there to do remaps or anything. It is what it is tbh. I'm happy with it, if I want 0-60 I've got the RX8 and the motorbike so... this is just a comfy quick cruiser for me. In it today... the way it gets upto 70+ (hahaha), it's just so smooth.

Hi, Newbie here just muscleing in on this Xedos Miller thread. Recently bought one exactly as the green one shown in the last post. Mine is a 2 owner (family owned) 67k mileage FULL Mazda service history with a cam belt service by Mazda main dealer no less.
What an absolutely brilliant, totally underrated, under the radar car. First supercharged car I've owned and what a buzz.
Intend to keep it totally standard, as I have all my other 'projects' so always on the lookout for spares to store away for the future.
In my search for the right car, I also saw most if not all of the cars mentioned in previous posts and strangely enough saw the one advertised in Scotland for £180. Was this the one offered to SBK before he sold his?
If it still around, I may be interested.
Anyway, nice to know there is at least another 'Miller' out there on our roads.

Haven't got round to taking any decent pics yet due to rubbish weather and laziness, but it looks the same as the last pic in this thread, the T reg one.
Been spending time accumulating various genuine Mazda spares at bargain prices (front discs pair £19.99, front pads £4.85, rears £3.85) and also just acquired an original tool box and tools for £28.
What have you done with your old wheels? If you want to move them on I might be interested.
Also just put a couple of new rear tyres on and, as I do with any new project, had a full laser alignment check. It was way out!!! Had as much as 22* toe out on osr.
What a difference in handling now everything is in line.
Got to say, this car is up there with the best I've ever owned and all for £800!!

Hi Just bought Xedos 9 Miller

WE just aquired the car its a 1998 9 Miller with 65000 on the clock. I am in process of changing the wheels and tyres and want to lower it a little.TYres were marginal so new ones are ready to install .It has drilled and slotted discs and I am replacing the rears and the pads all round. I want to install a 2 Din Radio DVD,GPS,etc but not sure which to get. Can the CD in the boot be connected. The car is in very good overall condition and in the end I paid £1200 for it!
Regards
