The "Friends of the Court" briefing has no evidential standing and is like people standing on the side lines jumping up and down and whinging because they have no standing in the proceedings themselves.

I'd be surprised if the Court gives two tweaks of a walrus' whiskers about what the entirely partial Friends of the Court have to say on the matter. Its simply posturing by these other companies

Well the Supreme court has finally made a landmark decision in Samsung's favour ruling that ruled the violation of design patents may only involve a component and not the entire product. So Apple can’t claim all proceedings from an infringing device and the appeals court ruling that Samsung had to pay a $399 million penalty to Apple for copying key iPhone designs has been thrown out.
