If Sinner can nick the 3rd it will be interesting, he's had a lot less time on court this tournament. Medvedev does seem to have the edge in this matchup in general though, probably something to do with how far behind the baseline he plays lol.

Saw the Raducanu match the other day. 1st round at Indian Wells. Was the worst 100 mins of tennis I've seen in a while. Really horrible to watch.

She was looking good in today's second round match though. Unfortunately her opponent retired at 4-0 down. Interestingly the same opponent retired last time she was losing to Raducanu.

She'll face likely face Sabalenka next (assuming Sabalenka gets past Sterns). That will be a tough test.

I missed the Murray match. The first set (he had a few set points) looked like a cracker. Unfortunately he couldn't keep that performance up in the second. It was against Rublev though.

Murray's ruptured his ankle and could be out for 3-4 months so that's the French and Wimbledon gone.

yeah - I think he should call it a day before his body completely gives up on him....

Brutal reality of sport - He's not going to win a slam again, he's struggling to get through R1/2 in tournaments. He needs to think of his long term health/mobility etc.

Hips/ankles/knees are not thing you want to struggle with in later life....

That's pretty good. didn't see it myself as I consider the BJK a Mikey mouse tournament (like the olympics) and I've been watching Monaco instead, but Garcia on recent form is no joke.

Let's see how far she can go in Stuttgart which will be particularly difficult.

Tsitsipas has been on poor form of late, but he is a clay court specialist with history of doing well at Monaco. Sinner should have beaten him if his body held up, but takes nothing away from Tsitsipas.

Ruud's game similarly is set up well for clay. He was a RG finalist in 2022 and 2023. Never won a masters tournament, though, and is often mocked for being something of a 250 king. He played well against Djokovic. The only thing that really went wrong there was when the crowed annoyed Novak. He loves that, and went on breadstick Ruud in the second set. Djokovic hasn't reached the SF in Monaco since something like 2015 though.

If Ruud can use his high looping topspin forhand to attack Tsitsipas' backhand, then I think he'll win. His problem in finals before is that he's been too passive.

EDIT: Well Tsitsipas took it comfortably. Ruud was never in the match. He was rushed, and couldn't find the range with his his forehand. Nice to see Tsitsipas back to wining ways.
