Tempted to buy the EVGA backplate but can't find anything on whether it works well for cooling those chips on the back of the card.

If OCUK doesn't have them in stock in a week or two I'm going to get someone from the UK order one and send it to me.

220 euros is just to much (99.90 shipping) Evga EU btw.

I ordered my evga hybrid cooler from the US Amzon site. Cost about $135 including shipping and duty to the uk. It's out of stock at the moment, so they'll ship it when its in stock.

I wish they would release a hybrid cooler with TITAN X branding instead of 980. Sounds daft but it really puts me off buying one.

It does take something that looks pretty decent and turns it in to a Frankenstein.

But it's much quieter and cooler

The Hybrid cooler looks rubbish...... they all do, the TX looks like nothing as soon as you remove the stock cooler, it looks like it's worth about 5 quid.

same goes for the MSI Lightning, the cooler gives the card Attitude It looks wrong to remove it.

this means you have to improve your case cooling/ new pc ( crossfire or SLI).........but it's not exactly hard to do so

Mine boosts to 1330 out the box, overclocks need not apply for me.
Happy it wasn't DOA, should be wet by this weekend.

Don't even think i'll even bother overclocking, not even just for FS. Too lazy.

Had mine delivered today. QUick question for someone. I use two monitors, a Dell 2711 (27" 1440P) and a Dell 2408 (24" 1200P). Previously I have used DVI cables for both. The Titan X only has one Dual Link Dvi. Which cable is best for which monitor? Currently I have the 2711 connected to the Titan X using the Dual Link DVI cable that came with the monitor. Is that the best option for the monitor? If so then HDMI for the other? Dont have a spare cable so will have to buy one.

Shouldn't matter, as long as they both show native res + hz.
HDMI for the lower res though, so yeah.

I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the noise. Its not as loud as I thought it would be at around 55/60%. This is the first time I'm using a reference Nvidia cooler - the sound signature is really nice.

That said I'm still going to put it under water, especially since my ASIC quality is so low. Anyone have the EK Water Blocks EK-FC Titan X - Acetal+Nickel? Some pics would be nice.

so I had the option for a free upgrade to the EVGA superclock and i took it. I'll post up pics soon. Just so you know in GPU z my sub vendor doesn't say EVGA it says NVIDIA but the default clock deffo says 1127 and boost says 1216. this was a sealed box as well

I would have, as well as the red back-plate (to go with ROG motherboard build), but I missed my DPD delivery today, so should have it tomorrow and will take a few pics. Albeit, wont get it fitted to card until the weekend at earliest, but possibly next week some time.

but they were the stock ones and not the OC version

So sending them back tomorrow and wait for the next delivery
