P3 was silly too regarding track limits, Charlie has apparently said they lose time with that crazy line many are taking at T19 and around the end of sector 1.

Disaster for JB, too much traffic on a super soft run after a bad soft run.

Of course he is, RB easily fast enough to do Q2 on soft but they're putting him on supers for some reason.

The point is they don't know which strategy will work in the race tomorrow, it's got nothing to do with saving supersofts now.

The RBR just isn't fast enough to beat the Mercs, but a safety car at the right time to gain 5+ seconds by pitting under a VSC or full safety car, maybe it comes out at the right time to pit if you start on softs, maybe only if you start on supersofts. They are splitting strategy, neither being superior, both requiring luck. By splitting strategy they end up with more chance of something happening that would go in one drivers favour.

Lets hope Ricci Lake on those supers starts ahead of at least one Merc (both on softs), needs a good q3.

Or at least in front of Verstappen.

I don't think he'll let him past in the race (i.e. make sure he doesn't get past by moving about in every corner).

Immense final sector by Nico

Given how scruffy his first sector was, this is his to lose today.
