Any fellow chicken Bovril enjoyers here? That stuff was absolutely golden on toast, such a shame that it's gone.

(Yes I'm aware of the thread on it here and also the Facebook page :cry: )

Tinned sardines with a touch of scotch bonnet sauce mixed in and mashed up for easy spreading.
Sourdough adds to the crunch, much preferred for toasting than other bread.
Used to do something similar for lunch everyday (used Chilli powder and had a cup of soup)

Used to love something called Anchovette (I am sure @Pooh can insert a suitable gagging noise) which I cannot get in the UK.

If I eat breakfast now. I like strawberry or apricot jam with mature Cheddar or Red Leceister, or butter and honey, or marmite, melted cheese and tomato with some black pepper. Crunchy peanut butter with a bit of syrup or jam is an occasional thing.
