Ive not played GP4 2007 mod, is there any decent MP options as it might be cool to all get together and have a shortish race? If we all use the same cars/setup it should be pretty fair...

Length of race? Long enough for 1 pit stop - strategy is up to you?

BTW Thanks Daytrader - I presume thats all the files I need? Bit confused since theres been a few talked about and I cant check those sites due to work network...

I'd be up for a game. Just need to get the 2007 mod. Only link I can find is the one on gp4db and thats down. If anyone has it could they possibly upload it - even if it's just for a short while.

Sorry not posted back earlier.

The d/ls from Daytrader worked perfectly, now got 2006 and 2007 running.

Really appreciate the help guys.

I'd be up for a race sometime, though I haven't played much recently so I'll prob end up as the backmarker

GP4 is not a mp game you know that right, you need some other files to play online i think.

yeh the mod 2006 + trackpack and 2007 mod update should be 300+ mb

ok so i have installed and patched the game.

i run it and all i get is a blank screen with the mouse cursor stuck in the middle.

this is with windows vista x64 and an 8800gtx.

I thought it should be running quicker but the test was with the 2007 update which graphics wise are tons better than the original and use high res textures and really hammer your pc , got my new pc with a intel C2D running so will see how it goes , cant wait to use the MS 360 wheel with GP4 - F1 9902 - GTR

yeh u need a top pc to run this with the 2006/2007 textures for sure, loadsamoney i think your running just normal GP4, mind you that still looks great in my eyes, to run 2007 mod you need to load it through csm and new tracks through tsm etc, maybe you just seeing vanilla GP4, maybe your forgetting to disable original wad and exe check ?

Also could someone help me out i'm trying to install the 2006 tv style and the rev and throttle and they only work when I load through gp4.exe It doesn't work when loading via csm. I thought i'd installed it all correctly but I clearly haven't.

Also if you look at the second picture even though I put the settings on high i thought it'd be better looking. The settings were in gp4 so I presume that there's other ways to increase them.

So basically can anybody tell me step by step how to get rid of all the rubbish on the screen and get higher res f1 racing. Any help would be great thanks

Press I to get rid of the speedo, and stuff along the top of the screen.

If i remember its T to turn off the tv overlays.

i think T is just for the time, not played it in awhile. Having a hard time getting it working.

Well, I already had the game patch, and the GPxPatch, so I only needed the decrypted exe, ZaZ tools and the 2006 and 07 mods.

Thing is, it won't run for me using the decrypted exe, but works fine with the original. Maybe I already had the decrypted one installed. Not sure, it's been a long time since I installed it!

[edit] working fine on either the original or decrypted exe now! No idea why.... [/edit]

I installed the 06 mod, and funnily enough 07 is also listed there even without me installing it. It defo is 07 though, as it has Hamilton and Alonso in the McLarens.

I'm just not sure it's quite right, as every car has the same engine sound - can someone say if that's right or not please? - and also the Ferrarri steering wheel.

I haven't tried any of the track updates yet. It's a bit bizarre watching the nice new car models on the original Gp4 tracks. Time for an update on that too!
