does anyone else do this immediatly when ever they play a new game. to me normal controls seem the wrong way wround.

shouldnt it be the other way round and invert controls should be normal and vice versa?

Totally and I think it comes from playing fps on a PC for so long.

I had Rayman Raving Rabbids for the 360 but really struggled with the semi-fps games as you couldn't invert and Blue Dragon annoys me a little in that you can select an inverted scheme but it changes both horizontal and vertical so it's no good what-so-ever! Luckily as it's a rpg it's not that much of a biggie.

Nope, I prefer normal controls myself.

Why would you call a control system invert when pressing up = look up? There's no inversion about it, it's normal. Now, pressing up = look down however, that is inverted, hence the name ;)

Lol. I think the best way to explain it is thinking about flight sims.

Picture this... Flying straight ahead which way would you hold to head down? Up, right? And you'd pull back (hold down) to ascend.

Runnig forward in Quake, again, you push forward to look down :)

Ye, i change them too. Find it funny when my brother comes to play games and cant. I never changed them in the Enemy Territory Demo to begin with and ended up flyin the ships all over the shop.:(

Flight sims I can understand, what with that being the way the controls are in planes. In FPS' though? Not a chance, push up to look up, pull down to look down.

yeah it is to do with flight sims i think, also FPs on pcs.

blue dragon does annoy me as well. i screw it up everytime. why they invert both i have no idea!

Its to do with the way your own brain works I remember reading somewhere. Best way I explain it is you push the analogue stick to look down and pull back on the analogue stick to look up much like you would if you had your hand on the back of someones head. Or you play while thinking up is up and down is down etc. Its different for everyone, just use which ever feels more natural.

Myself I use Inverted for FPS on a console and normal for keyboard and mouse. It varies for other types of games such as third person etc. I just use which ever feels the most natural to me.

Yeah I have to play with an inverted curser otherwise I just can't play. Weird I know, I'm the only one out of all my mates to do it so get a little stick.

I used to but it only took 2 days to get used to normal controls, it's pretty easy to switch between the 2 but not easy to switch many times in the same game ala Warhawk >_<

I'm sure I read on a review of Warhawk that you can customise the controls for each vehicle. I've never played it though so I may be totally wrong.

I always invert the controls, I guess it was years of old flight sims and then playing FPS games on the PC I carried on inverting the Y axis.
