HALO 3 Official Thread

anyone got any advice of best method to get this game on release day?
I haven't pre-ordered it anywere, I'm thinking I should just walk into asda at midnight on 26th and "should" be able to buy it!

Whilst he's not 100% right, it doesn't actually look a whole generation better. Infact it looks downright poor in places. Graphically the game is very hit-and-miss, and has very noticeable jaggies. Overall I have found the visuals dissapointing.

Gameplay is *OK*, if pretty generic. Multiplayer is a laugh and I love the replays, but so far the game doesn't come close to living up to the hype for me.

It's much easier done as Co-Op over Solo - because you can respawn if your partner is out of danger. A Luxury you dont have on your own! I did it Co-Op and just gluided through! Theres was a handful of really "tough" bits but generally nice and simple.

Is it something though that you would want to do again to help a newb ;)

By that I mean once people have done it once is it the sort of game people will co-op again?

GOW was great, I ran though insane with Kalanium and I helped probably 2 or 3 others.

Is this the sort of SP you wouldn't mind playing through again?

Some levels yes as the battles are excellent, and 1/2 levels would annoy me - i do wanna try it 4 way tho as i did it with 1 mate before :)
 
Going to be doing a Heroic and Legendary on my own before I even think about touching Co-op. If I get it Tuesday daytime, I will plow through Heroic and play some multi-player during the evening, spend the next couple of days slowly doing Legendary and doing multi-player in the evenings.

I just know something is going to happen that will mess up my plans though.
 
My plan is to complete normal difficulty first whilst taking in the storyline and admiring the graphics etc, then id like to try the harder difficulty levels. Would be nice to try them via co-op, so if anyone is looking for a buddy to run through with, give me a shout.

He's 100% wrong, but I see your point, I've been quite impressed by what I've seen, not overly impressed, but when I was playing the beta sometimes it looked great, but things like floor detail and vehicles didnt really look as good as I was expecting, that said though, it's hard to imagine how they could have made it look much better.

I will doing the same, i will play on normal difficulty and then try do in online...

I have the 26th booked off in advance ;)

Someone on Avforums has posted that his local Morrisons store is selling Halo 3 today but does not know if it is nation wide, I would think it was a mistake made by that particular store but if anyone is going to Morrisons anyway it may be worth a look.

you should be able to id imagine they've made a lot of copies. It'll be more difficult for the collectors edition and nigh on impossible for legendary edition.
