Respectfully, having been banned for arguing with Mr Men last week Nokkon, it is not worth getting into it with him.
You're almost certainly right. It would appear he's bulletproof.
Biggest problems with Fifa as a single player game is the AI cheating and the scripted nature of the game, just feels very false,
So, same problems as PES then....

Just hit the ignore button, Nokkon.
Where is it?!
You know nothing about the Konami engine, other than it's old, tell me how does an old engine make it a bad thing?
Where is it?!
How does being an old engine not make it bad? Well, for a start, it's struggling now, they are pumping in higher resolution textures and the game struggling to render it (hence jerkiness). You're also limited as to what you can do in it, you can improve what a player can do, but it has a ceiling, something that could be removed with a new engine. You know nothing about the Konami engine, other than it's old, tell me how does an old engine make it a bad thing? A game engine can be heavily modified and tweaked over a period of time, for instance look a the ISI Gmotor engine, and how that has been modified on the PC, rFactor made my ISI themselves lacks some major features that Simbin added to the engine when they bought the rights to use the engine for their GTR games, but you would know that off course.
Is it annoying? Yes, I suppose, but it's no more annoying than PES. I want the crowds to look better, and in fairness, they should, but attention to detail has been put elsewhere. This is another reason I want PES to move to a new engine, so that it can open up newer modes, more detailed stadia, more teams, leagues etc..PES2008 certainly does not have good crowds but if you want to say they are worse than Fifa? go to Old Trafford and take a corner at the away end, tell me you that does not make you cringe in this day and age.
Is there scripting? Yes. Unfortunately it's needed in any football game, however the level of AI scripting is definitely less than that of PES. As I am typing this I am playing on legendary difficulty against Northampton. I'm winning 2-1 and it's a cracking challenge.Fifa is scripted and I have already explained why I think that, mainly the AI boosting if you can't see that for yourself then you have really not played single player too much or even tried legendary mode, go test yourself play against Barcelona then play against Runcorn, you will get the same game from both teams, which IMO is shocking.
You always seem to want to paint me as a PES hater. I'm not, I love the series. However I am not blind to the fact that the series is out-dated and needs a radical improvement. You are the one bringing PES into this thread about Fifa, I am talking about Fifa, nothing to do with PES, you are the one trying to turn it into another Fifa v PES thread, not me. For example - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10183039&postcount=145
Go to your User CP in the top left, there's an option called 'Buddy/Ignore List'
add a name to that and away they go.
They are two very different games in the way they play, Fifa is the more slow fluid approach whilst pes is all out end to end fast paced football. Why the two cant co-exist in some peoples minds is beyond me...they both have faults and its no doubt that the new fifa is a much greater step forward that the incremental step that is pes but then again it had more ground to gain. I do prefer fifa this time round...imo its a slightly more realistic game of football and again imo far less scripted than pes. It also spanks pes in the graphics and atmosphere department, Pes is really far too flat the stadiums are lifeless and the engine is in desperate need of an overhaul. All I can say is Fifa can only get better...
