One day we decided we wanted to go see a baseball game, drove to Dodger stadium and just bought tickets on the gate for $24 each! And it was opening week!
The only equivalent you would get to that in the UK on price and availability would be Conference football!
Baseball tickets over there are cheap, whenever im in Toronto during baseball season, its very easy just to go to the stadium and get tickets. Like the above poster said, its probably due to the amount of games they play. Nearer the playoffs, its nigh on impossible to get tickets. But hopefully if the Blue Jays get to the playoffs i will be able to get tickets as my bro, who lives out there gets them through his company..same with the NHL as well...his company has an exec box in the Air Canada centre, already been to a few games this season and the ice hockey tickets are very expensive...much more than Baseball and Basketball.
I try to get in as many games as i can when im there, didnt get a chance to catch any basketball games though this yr as the Raptors werent doing so well.
NFL tickets over there are hard to get hold of, i know for a fact that with the NY Giants, you either need to pay through your nose or be a season ticket holder. Luckily for me, my gf knows someone within the NY Giants personnel so can get tickets pretty easily for all their home games...playoffs is another matter entirely.
Anyways if what Psycho Ned said is correct then hopefully, fingers crossed i can still get a few tickets...but i have this funny feeling that ive missed out
.

Only way I could explain that was her, as die-hard Everton supporter, going to watch Liverpool as it was cheaper.
