Intel Q6600 GO Stepping - Our best price yet!

Getting a little concerned about my order placed today, paid for saturday (tomorrow) delivery and not yet recieved a tracking number via email :(

Actually ive not even recieved an order confirmation yet, so its looking highly unlikely that my order will be delivered tomorrow which is what ive paid for, if thats the case I hope OCuk will refund the P&P ive paid if they cant deliver the goods on time.

Order number is OC324557 if any of the admins wish to look into it.

I've opted for the Gigabyte PA DQ6 model. Its a stable and proven motherboard from every review I have read plus do a search here and you'll see the positive reviews which made my mind up. Additional advantage is that it supports future 45nm processors by intel!

Good choice, have been racking my brains around the P35 or the X38. Might hold out longer to see what DFI bring to the table ;)

can i ask... how would i know if i have this? i have the Q6600 but dont know if it is this version... i have standad air cooling, overclocked it to just below 3.0 and its running 30deg idle and 40 full load

You have speedstep enabled. It will reduce the bus speed / core speed whilst the CPU is idle, to save on power and to lower the temperature. There is an option in your BIOS to turn this off (look for EIST & C1E).

More info on the tech - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SpeedStep
