I've rec'd Nokia N95 8Gb

The K750 is a good bit smaller. The N95 is nearly 1cm wider.

I was going purely on the pics I took when it came out (prob should have check first) - it was just a bit wider, looking at the actual specs its about 7mm wider (the N95 so yeh its a bit bigger).

Well I haven't used it much played a few demo games (15 min) made a few calls (about 30 min) showed it to most of my friends at work and some random strangers.

So after all that it hasn'e even gone down a single bar yet.

Apparently it comes unlocked straight from the box. Something I have yet to try as i don't have any other sim cards. Although I'll try my friends O2 sim tomorrow night.

As I'll still have my Orange contract and intend on flogging my N73 it'd be useful to be able to pop my Orange SIM in as well. Is unlocking these virtually impossible?

Give it a few weeks and it should be possible to debrand it just like the N95, that's if you can't already. As all the debranding step does is change the region code to UK instead of the Network specific one, so when you use the Nokia Update program (which is the same one regardless if your phone is locked or unlocked), it'll check your code in the phone and update accordingly. Therefore I see no reason it'll take long at all, all it needs is the generic region code for UK for the N95 8G to surface.

I thought debranding and unlocking were completly different things

Put a deposit on one at Phones4u. Wouldnt normally use them but the deal seems quite good.

Either the £50 a month 1200 minutes unlimited text deal, with the phone free, but £45 a month

Or

£40 a month, 750 minutes, unlimited texts and the 120mb internet package included. Phone also free.

Seems like a damn good deal. They get stock in this afternoon.

Since I'll be working in handset faults in Orange as of Monday, I'm certainly keeping my eyes peeled for this N95 8GB. :D
