I know, how can they go from the demo which has no FPS problems to the travisty that is the final release.

Forgot to mention after my games with Weringo last night I noticed a bug.
He hit the ball and my keeper saved it and it appeared to bounce into the goal, but then only a corner was given.

Agreed. I've detested FIFA every year since 98 I think, 9 years later they release something decent again
Even with the online play rectified I still prefer FIFA in most departments. I do like how PES has Highlights at halftime and fulltime, one thing I always missed from football games. Hope they have highlights at the end of online matches too.
I had the same thing last night against my mate, which I posted about above.
ah right. Dunno whether it's the lag that causes it or it's just a general bug in the game.

i've seen the "ball into the net off the keeper but only get a corner" bug about 4 times now. but only on live.
i'm playing lots of games offline against a mate this afternoon and this evening and shall come back here with my findings!

At least Konami have acknowledged the problem right away.
To put a game out like this is ridiculous though, even the replays on single player are a joke as I can't even watch them. Once they fix the online mode and the slowdown issues then I'll be playing this till next year again. Even though it was a laggy mess it was still fun.
10 minute matches actually feel like 10 minutes because the pace of the game is faster, unlike last year where if you were the opponent it took ages to get to the half way line.
The slowdown is blown out of proportion by some people, it shouldn't be there but people were making out as if it was dropping to 10FPS. It doesn't drop that much and I never really get it on some stadiums so it isn't bothering me (PS3 version).
I also have to say the A.I has greatly improved and it's harder than last years version on Top Player

The thing that got most peoples backs up was the fact Konami acknowledged this weeks before the game hit retail anywhere in the world.

Ah, didn't know that! Wondered where they were popping up front.
They should have called it "infringements" and not "fouls" to make it clearer.
