But there are 5 games in it. If you're looking for value for money, you're looking for that, and longevity, you'll be hard pushed to find a game offering more.
Half Life 2 is a game that's recieved over 50 game of the year awards and is widely regarded as one of the most influential of all time.

Reviewing 3 games out of 5 and still giving it 9 should surely mean a further 2 games would make it a 10 out of 10 game.
 
Just received my copy too. They reviewed each on its own merits. Maybe once they give TF2 a review then they'll give an overall rating.

Is it possible to buy the games individually via steam?

Heh, I'm with you bud. I'm just relaying the scores :)

I will admit I was surprised by the R&C score after the universal praise it got on here. I wasn't at all surprised by the Timeshift and Jericho ones since I played the demos.

I'm surprised too, considering there are so many reviews that give it over 80%-90% elsewehere:

I think 3 or 4 of us on the forums have the full game and agree it is amazing (although has the odd fault). I am near the end I think and it has been a solid fun 15ish hours so far. And there is loads of things I missed I will go back for.

Apart from it being a bit easy, it is without major fault in my opinion.

The R+C score is very strange! hmm so its as good/bad as Conan i have conan and ratchet and i know which is the better game ( its not conan lol). I was just wondering what is dated about the game? and if so why is that such a bad thing if more games were as dated as this I'd be happy :D. Oh well only 2 dodgy reviews out of 40 odd, not too bad judging the current FPS/MP enviroment we seem to be in at the moment. Would like to read the whole reviews of some of those games though as the scores and comments dont seem to add up, how is eye of judgement too greedy? A solid game gets rated the same as a game thats A boring interpretation of an interesting idea? And why is Wipeout Pulse not important?:confused:

As always with these things, if it is a game you really want/like the review probably won't sway you one way or the other. And all reviews are subjective and open to interpretation.

I don't listen to anything that magazines say any more, I'd rather buy something that I know i'm going to like with a nice different idea.

R&C and timeshift are both games I like the look, I will be buying.

I have the option to own MArio, I don't think i'll be buying it. I did'nt like mario 64 at all. Was completely overrated imo the was no action in it, what is the point in that.. After that my intrest in Mario died! I've not even looked at sunshine and with a name like that I ain't going to.

What's with these forums? I've now read that someone thinks Mario 64 is rubbish and I also seen in another thread someone who couldn't care less about MGS4 :D

I hadn't even heard of this magazine...

I laughed when I read Ratchet 6, Table Tennis 8.

Table Tennis for Wii is practically the same game as on the 360 which wasn't an 8 in the first place, but with motion sensing control that isn't as accurate as the buttons and less features.

Ratchet is probably too harsh, I'm guessing it should be an 8 but I'll reserve my judgement until I play it.

Nope, GamesTM is easily the best and most reliable games magazine around. Reading through this month's issue, they even scooped "best multiplatform" and "best overall" games magazine at recent industry awards. They're honest to the point of being harsh sometimes, but I rarely disagree with reviews.
